Our New Year had started off with a burst of construction, with separate teams working on the roof, electricity, ventilation, interior carpentry and groundworks.
Electrical cabling being installed in the end unit. Red wires are for the alarm system, white for light and power.
Boiler flues through the roof, generating hot water for the cafe. Main heating will be from high efficiency air source heat pumps.
Fixing internal walls for the toilet block in the cafe area. The ducts above carry air to and from a heat exchanger, allowing heat to be retained in the building.
Roofing progressing west to east. There is a thick layer of high performance insulation.
